Kristina Marchiori, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Kristina (she/her) is registered Occupational Therapist with her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from Queens University in 2019, and a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from McMaster University.

As a queer therapist with over 5 years of experience working with neurodiverse children, teens and adults, Kristina practices from an affirming, trauma-informed and relational lens. She is committed to honouring each person as they are and prioritizes the development of a secure, supportive, and human-centered therapeutic relationship. Kristina believes in the importance of fostering a strong sense of felt safety - physically, emotionally, and mentally—so clients can explore self-compassion and build meaningful skills, activities, and strategies to bring more ease and joy into their lives.

Throughout her OT career, Kristina has developed a niche supporting clients with a wide range of support needs and different communication styles – with experience with individuals who are gestalt language processors and communication device users. She works well with neurodiverse folks and individuals with ongoing complex mental health, utilizing leisure activities, nature and play as individualized approaches to therapy. Kristina works collaboratively with clients and their care teams – including families, schools and other professionals – to navigate challenges, foster self acceptance, and empower engagement in meaningful activities that support purpose, confidence and connection.

In her free time, Kristina enjoys spending time in nature, snuggling her cats and enthusiastically collecting hobbies to build her own toolkit of solo and shared activities that support her joy, creativity and work life balance.
