She holds a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from the University of Guelph. Taryn was excited to discover nature-based therapy during a clinical placement with Larchwood OT in Summer 2024 – and has been supporting kids and teens in nature ever since!

As a neurodivergent person, Taryn is committed to strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming care. She is passionate about helping kids and teens understand their brains and bodies, including celebrating our individual differences! She is committed to creating safe spaces where youth and families can show up authentically, engage in meaningful activities, and build positive social connections.

Taryn supports pediatric clients with fine motor and gross motor development, emotional regulation, executive functioning, and sensory processing. She is a certified Powerfully You™ provider, offering a self-regulation curriculum to help children feel connected, tune into their bodies, and develop emotional regulation strategies. Her work is also informed by her involvement in neurodiversity-affirming research on autistic burnout, inertia, meltdowns, and shutdowns (BIMS), including co-creating the resource www.bimslab.ca.

In her free time, Taryn loves hiking, camping, rock climbing, and spending time with her golden retriever, Promise.
