Jules doing some printing and drawing at Williamson Ravine
Printing Clinics
Led by Registered Occupational Therapists
Our Mission
The focus of our Printing Clinics is on letter formation, spacing and size.
We use the “Learning without Tears” handwriting curriculum, a multi-sensory and developmental approach that promotes learning how to write the letters.
How we incorporate Nature
Outdoor nature activity will be used to foster development of foundational handwriting skills including fine motor, gross motor and motor planning. Think animal walking, packing snow, hanging from branches, etc.
Who should attend?
Suitable for kids with letters that are:
sloppy, messy and difficult to read
too big or too small
spaced unevenly or running into one another
written backward or upside down
What’s Involved
A Handwriting Assessment will be completed to understand each child’s unique handwriting needs.
Each child receives 30 minutes 1:1 with the OT and 30 minutes of fine motor indoor or outdoor activities with a volunteer/OTA/OT Student.
The printing portion of our session takes place in an indoor space (i.e. Toronto Nature School).
This 4 week block will run twice a year (February & November).
30 minute blocks will be available for direct sign up through Jane, our online booking platform.
